It’s midterm elections; Trump’s on the campaign trail,
Reminding his voters it’s all about him.
His themes are familiar, singing without fail,
His usual, crass xenophobia hymn.
He sticks to the red states, assuring a big crowd,
Applauding when Donald attacks Democrats.
As Trump prevaricates, he keeps it loud and proud,
The usual delivery of most autocrats.
Some poor Guatemalans formed a big caravan.
They’re marching through Mexico, heading our way.
Trump is our guardian, not Good Samaritan.
His biggest applause line is, “No way, Jose!”
Will fear of foreigners and frank misogyny
Keep right wing voters blind to Trump’s larceny?
