Have we all grown tired of democracy?
Should we cast it out on the dump?
If we now want to have autocracy,
Shouldn’t we seek others than Trump?

If we’re fated to have a dictator,
Is Donald the best we can do?
He’s been mostly a fraud fabricator,
A warning to both me and you.

All the rest of his qualifications,
Not anything one would desire.
What he’s known for is falsifications,
A clear pathological liar.

Any features of Donald redeeming?
His resume’ doesn’t list one,
All his business affairs, mostly scheming,
And showing he’s cheating someone.

Donald Trump yearns to be just like Putin,
And grind all opponents to dust.
And, without toleratin’ disputin’,
He’d be free to act on his lust.

Donald Trump has been making obeisance
To his Russian Tsar, Vladimir.
It seems unwise to view with complaisance
That Trump’s “strength” is just a veneer.

We know Donald is also a bully,
Seeking victims safe to attack.
Donald seems to like things wild and wooly
As long as no one can punch back.

And Donald Trump was such a poor student,
He kept his grades hidden from us.
To select a poor student’s imprudent,
With his talents so dubious.

Donald’s a crook who has been convicted
Of felonies. Might he do more?
So many drawbacks, all self-inflicted,
Suggest a deep rot at his core.

So, is Donald too much of a gamble,
If we think it’s time for a king?
After Donald, we’ll never unscramble
The mess he’ll make of everything.
