July 28, How Do I Love Me? (A would be sonnet by Donald Trump) (1)
How do I love me? Let me count the ways.
I love me for the brilliance of my wit,
For which I am accorded daily praise,
Although the whole world sees just half of it.
I love me for the style in which I live,
Surrounded by my furnishings of gold,
And for the charity I do not give,
And for the dumb base voters I have rolled.
I love me for the taxes I evade,
By flouting all financial laws and rules,
I shall survive just like a tardigrade, (2)
For I am smart and all the rest are fools.
My critics charge I live a life of fraud.
They don’t yet realize that I am god.
