But they’re suggesting massive cuts, affecting you and me.
All social programs: Medicare, and even our Defense,
And, coupled with Trump’s deportations, there’ll be turbulence.

Another tax cut for the rich: (that’s what they all desire,)
And don’t forget the bureaucrats that Donald says he’ll fire.
Cut regulations everywhere: CDC, FDA.
Who needs effective medicines when we have RFK?

Il Duce, Mussolini, first took over Italy.
His government was fascist; there was no democracy. (4)
Then Adolf Hitler, Nazis, World War II: you know the rest.
Now plutocratic fascists threaten here; we cannot rest.

Will all the rich get richer? That’s what they will try to do.
Will Trump become dictator? Does he think that is his due?
Will freedom of the press just die, no speaking truth to power?
Will Donald jail his enemies, make all dissenters cower?

Will China, Mexico, and Canada bow to Trump’s will?
Will tariffs start trade wars with them, as experts say they will?
Trump’s businesses have gone bankrupt; will he do that again, (5)
This time to our economy? Just look at Putin’s grin.

Trump’s narcissism makes the man demand our loyalty,
Not to the Constitution but to him, swear fealty.
Like to Il Duce, Führer, and all emperors through time. (6)
Might Donald Trump decide that all dissent should be a crime?

Trump acts like he’s Il Duce, Führer; that’s what we deserve.
His plutocrat kakistocrats know well whom they must serve.
The country is on trial now. Will our democracy
Survive another Trump term or fall to autocracy?
