The 10th ANNUAL DARWIN BIRTHDAY CONCERT will be on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. It will be at the UCSD School of Medicine in the Basic Sciences building on the second floor in Liebow Auditorium. Enter UCSD at Gilman Drive and follow the university signs for the concert.

We will be dedicating this concert to Ron Jackson, an irreplaceable musician in our group who passed away suddenly a few months ago. The band will now be known as THE GALAPAGOS MOUNTAIN BOYS (formerly known as Dr. Stephen Baird and The Opossums of Truth).

This year there will be more new scientific songs, old favorites in honor of Chuck Darwin, and because this is an election year, a few political ditties as well.

So mark your calendars, tell your friends and family to come, and buy tickets early so we know how many birthday brownies to make. Dr. Baird’s CDs and scientific/rationalist t-shirts will be available for sale as well.

Tickets:Checks and cash only, both in advance and at the door. Adults in advance $15, at the door $20. Children/students $10. To receive your tickets in advance (up until February 1st), send a check with your order and enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
