Rand Paul got Fauci’s diaries from the Covid 19 days (3)
And found that Fauci changed his mind in each pandemic phase.
The Senator objected to some thoughts that Fauci had.
To change one’s mind because of evidence, is somehow, bad.

Rand Paul’s a libertarian, opposed to government,
He also showed his lurking anti-vaccine sentiment.
A mandate by the government, such as, to wear a mask,
Is something that Rand Paul thinks is a crime to even ask.

Our right-wing anti-vaxxers cost us quite a high death rate, (4)
It makes no sense, therefore, to choose the doctor to berate.
The anti-science and the anti-expert attitude,
Instead of Dr. Fauci is what needs to be reviewed.

Though Rand Paul is a doctor too, an ophthalmologist,
You’d think he’d see more clearly, but Rand Paul’s no scientist.
His right wing politics control his scientific thought,
Which clouds his understanding of what Covid 19 wrought.

The Fauci diaries show how his mind processed evidence,
And changed as facts solidified and he gained confidence
On where and how Covid began and how to stop its spread.
Rand Paul was governed more by right wing politics instead.

So, how did Covid start? Was it a mutant from a bat? (5)
Or “leaked” from a Chinese research lab? Paul’s mind fixed on that.
A natural mutant was more probable in Fauci’s mind,
But only after weighing all the data he could find.

But Rand Paul blames the evil Chinese and their lab research.
Political philosophy means no more need to search.
And, lock downs, masks, and vaccines don’t fit his philosophy,
It’s communists to blame for the world-wide catastrophe.

Rand Paul called Tony Fauci in to “burn him at the stake,”
For all the thoughts he had as he confronted the outbreak.
Though Rand Paul threatened Tony, he refused to testify.
We’ll have to see if Paul pursues his lust to crucify.

(1) Rand Paul is the Junior Senator from Kentucky. The possibly late Mitch
McConnell is the Senior Senator.
(2) Dr. Anthony Fauci was the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and
Infectious Diseases from 1984-2022, and served as Chief Medical Adviser to
President Trump during the Covid 19 pandemic.
(3) Dr. Fauci kept his diary on his office computer, which was government
property and therefore could be accessed by Senator Paul. Dr. Fauci
recorded his thoughts about the evolving Covid pandemic in some detail,
including how and why he changed his mind as new evidence emerged.
(4) The US per capita death rate was higher than 20 similarly wealthy countries
because of both relatively lower vaccination rates and underlying poor
health. In states with higher vaccination rates, (mostly “blue”) the death
rate was similar to other wealthy countries. In states with lower vaccination
rates and higher rates of underlying disease (mostly “red”) the death rate
was much higher. In spite of these obvious statistics, anti-vaxxers and
political right wingers did not change their minds.
(5) The two prominent theories of the origin of the Covid 19 virus were: 1. It
was a natural mutant from one or more of the hundreds of similar viruses in
bats or other animals. Its spread was then enhanced by further mutation in
a “wet market” in Wuhan, China. 2. It escaped from a viral research lab in
Wuhan. Most epidemiologists favor the first possibility. Rand Paul likes
number two.
