Each day brings ample evidence that Trump is in decline
And sinking further from his former state of “ill-prepared.”
We voted for a candidate with fraud as his baseline;
Now, when he makes Truth Social posts, we see that he’s impaired.

In his first term as president, Trump showed incompetence,
With daily growing evidence of his dishonesty.
In this, his second term, he’s showing frank malevolence,
To all who question his delusion of his majesty.

He ran against “forever wars” but now he’s started one.
He said he’d lower prices but instead he’s made them rise.
His war goes on, Hormuz stays closed, though Donald says he’s won.
And now some of his basest base have realized his lies.

Trump doesn’t study problems; mostly he shoots from the hip.
He has no use for “experts” who point out complexities.
It’s “ready, fire, aim,” the pattern of Trump’s power trip.
It seems that Trump sees neither the whole forest nor the trees.

The people Trump appoints to office must be sycophants.
Experience and competence are not requirements,
Their confirmation hearings staged as a Kabuki Dance,
Where nominees must demonstrate their abject deference.

Now, every time that Donald speaks, he just perseverates….
Of victory in 2020, though facts show he lost….
And of a threat when any dark-skinned person immigrates….
These claims amount to nothing but intestinal exhaust.

The world is watching Donald, asking, “How far gone is he?”
At meetings of world leaders now, he’s viewed as pestilence.
He fixates on delusions and facts aren’t a remedy.
Increasingly he fails to fight off growing somnolence.

So there you have it; we can see that Donald’s mind is gone.
He cannot stay on topic when he’s giving an address.
The pattern of his whole career: he jumped from con to con.
The only thing we’re sure of is: Trump’s mind’s a total mess.
