And starve Ukraine’s defenses so Vlad’s free to operate.
Humiliating Donald, just elected President,
Is showing Donald Trump who’s boss. Vlad must be confident.

The Russians have a huge brain drain; young men have fled the draft,
Six hundred thousand wounded, dead, the army understaffed,
Now North Korean soldiers have been hired to fill the ranks,
If Vladimir needs Donald’s help, why the nude photo pranks?

A strange way to ask Trump for help, it’s much more like a threat.
This gambit would suggest that Trump is deep in Putin’s debt.
So, what does Putin have on Trump? Will rumors start to fly?
Can we sort fact from fiction? On what “facts” may we rely?

Will Trump get out of NATO, a big thorn in Putin’s side?
It’s served for decades now as a good Russian germicide.
That smoothes the way for Vladimir to finish off Ukraine,
And Poland would be next in line to feel the Russian pain.

When will we understand why Donald’s lady in the nude
Was shown all over Russian TV and by millions viewed?
Just what was Putin doing? And was this a show of force?
So far, Trump has said nothing; but what could be his recourse?

Could Trump stand up to Putin and decide to help Ukraine?
Does Vladimir have Donald, like a dog on a short chain?
The current odds are that Trump will act to serve Putin’s will.
We don’t know what Vlad has on Trump; perhaps we never will.
