I woke up this morning, the future was unclear.
Woke up every morning, for all my eighty years,
I turned on the TV, saw Donald’s latest tweet
He has pissed on someone; his tweets are short and sweet.
And they’re not too honest, if you have watched the news.
So that’s why I’ve got them Kakistocracy Blues.

Who is fit to govern? Guess not the Democrats.
Republicans? No way. Just look at former stats.
There’s Putin in Russia; in China, they have Xi…
They’re both autocratic, like Donald wants to be.
And then there is Donald’s kakistocratic group,
Boiling everyone in Kakistocracy soup.

Bridge:
Aristocrats and autocrats and democrats have ruled,
And plutocrats and theocrats as governments retooled.
All sorts of functionaries have floated in the stew.
Now Trump stirs in kakistocrats. What are we gonna do?
They lie and cheat for Donald; they all swear he didn’t lose.
Incompetent kakistocrats will give us all the blues.

Since we put in Donald, to empty out the swamp,
He’s made it a place where his alligators romp.
Now it’s his swamp creatures that he will nominate
Though most he appointed meet an unhappy fate.
Donald’s nominations, selected from Fox News,
Will give everybody Kakistocracy Blues.
