The vaccine policy committee of the CDC
Was just dismissed by RFK, based on a fallacy.
“m RNA vaccine has killed a lot of us,” he said,
A statement that is clearly false, for lives were saved, instead.

He said that getting measles gives lifetime immunity.
While MMR vaccine does not; that’s an absurdity. (1)
And measles kills a few per thousand, plus long-term effects
Of those surviving measles may be many and complex.

So, Bobby thinks that it’s OK, contracting a disease.
If most of us survive, then who needs shots, who needs MDs?
Statistics that show vaccines work are false, says RFK.
Unvaccinated people may survive, so that’s OK. (2)

And now, there’s General Bone Spurs, responding to LA.
The protests give the president a hand to overplay.
While Donald wants to start a fight, and Bob lets children die,
The military and disease will smite us hip and thigh.

Disease is running rampant through the Trumpist police state,
As Bobby uses little kids as measles virus bait.
Both science and the Constitution have been ripped to shreds,
Exactly what one would expect, when led by dunderheads.

And, if it’s not stupidity, then what explains these guys?
An anti-science attitude they don’t try to disguise?
Research has made us healthier and, with that, lengthened lives.
What is it about science that gives both these guys the hives?

Well, science tells us, “Change your mind,” when there’s new evidence.
But Donald listens to his gut and to his flatulence.
Since Don and Bob do not trust science, when it shows they’re wrong,
They try to kill the messenger; resistance is that strong.

(1) MMR, Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccine has been used since 1971 as a routine shot for children and has been very successful in preventing all three of these diseases. The current measles outbreak is almost exclusively in unvaccinated kids. Some have died.
(2) Before the Cowpox vaccine was introduced by Edward Jenner, (in1796!) the average death rate from smallpox was 30% or higher. The deathrate among vaccinated people is essentially zero. The death rate of the 1918 influenza was about 10-20%. Now death from seasonal influenza among vaccinated people is less than 1%, unless the patients have an underlying disease or are elderly.
