July 19, Here We Go Again

 

“It ain’t over ‘til it’s over,” as Yogi Berra said.

Covid 19 is resurging; so there will be more dead.

Unvaccinated people comprise almost all who die.

With overwhelming evidence, one now must wonder, “Why?”

 

Of course, the anti-vaxxers are expected to resist

And crazy, ardent Trumpists who all yell and shake their fist.

Believers, fundamentalists, say they will trust in God.

They die in higher numbers; does that mean their faith is flawed?

 

The poster kids of Congress: Louie Gohmert, Margie Greene,

Belligerent, dim-witted, they will denigrate vaccine

And hypocrites on Fox TV, who always take a stance

Against whatever science says, while flames consume their pants.

 

Perhaps the sickest of them all: those who politicize

Effects of vaccination, spreading fog and outright lies.

Together they are all to blame as Delta mutant spreads.

How many more will have to die ‘til that gets through their heads?
