How best to describe Donald’s war in Iran…
The word “snafu” is a strong candidate. (1)
It’s hard to deduce any rational plan
From news reports being broadcast to date.

Is everything “fubar?” That’s Trump’s well-known style (2)
When any problem is getting complex.
Trump thought if he bombed Iran for a short while,
There would be no unexpected effects.

Alas, Trump created a huge “clusterfuck.”
The Iranians closed the Strait of Hormuz.
A fifth of the world’s oil supply is now stuck
In that strait that the whole world used to use.

Is everything fubared, or is it snafued?
Could both of these terms describe what Trump has wrought?
Was it mental weakness or just lassitude
That spun the web in which Donald is caught?

Debacle, fiasco, shitshow, or train wreck,
Suitable synonyms for Donald’s war.
With no one but himself to keep him in check,
We may require several synonyms more.

So, there’s foul up, mix up, screw up and blunder,
And, one can add the terms, muddle and mess.
When Trump’s in charge, he tears reason asunder.
So, could things get worse? The best guess is “Yes.”
