For Musk and other super rich, a million here and there
To buy the Donald’s favor will not leave their coffers bare.

Is looming after Elon turned Mike Johnson’s undies brown.
The GOP is quaking as their sphincters start to leak,
For Musk might fund primaries and make re-election bleak.

Since Trump thinks he is most effective when instilling fear,
He doesn’t care if Congress likes him; he’s made that quite clear.
So, he demands obedience with a primary threat,
Of loyal, Trumpist candidates, who will stay in his debt.

Trump wouldn’t mind a shutdown since it leaves Joe looking bad.
Trump’s base will have bleak holidays, just like in Leningrad.
But Trump cares for his billionaires, not for his voting base.
He doesn’t need their votes again; they need to learn their place.

Though unelected and unvetted, Elon has bought in.
The orders he gives Congress make Mike Johnson’s poor head spin.
Musk’s DOGE is unofficial but, when Donald goes along,
It seems like Elon is in charge, all day and all night long.

As Elon gets more headlines, Donald might show jealousy.
For Donald likes the spotlight and he craves supremacy.
Trump’s goal is blaming Biden; Elon’s goals are not the same.
So, get your beer and popcorn and watch these two play their game.

Mike Johnson is too pliant; he will work with Democrats.
But Donald wants a reign of, for, and by his plutocrats.
Mike Johnson might be sacrificed; Trump doesn’t care for him.
But for effective government, the prospects look quite dim.
