Congress

You made it to Congress: Hooray! Whoop de doo!
Now, isn’t there something that you ought to do?
Our whole Constitution is under attack.
Your duty: rise up! Take the government back.

We’re led by a madman, besotted by cash,
His scale of corruption, completely unmatched.
An ongoing heist, a gargantuan stash,
With both House and Senate remaining detached.

John Thune, “Shorty” Johnson, refusing to lead,
Instead, bending over to let Donald steal,
Enabled Trump’s unsurpassed, historic greed,
And opened our vaults. What’s their cut of the deal?

The Congress can’t function when lying supine.
You can’t legislate ‘til you stand up and vote.
By electing Trump, we’ve stepped on a land mine.
Instead, vote to hand Donald his hat and coat.

This coming November, you’ll hear what we think.
There’ll be an election; we’ll all get to vote.
Right now you’re a corpse that is starting to stink.
Show some signs of life or get tossed off the boat.

I dare you to ask Trump to campaign for you;
Invite this deranged man to come to your town.
You have no idea what Donald may do.
Do you fear his antics will turn your shorts brown?

What features of Trump do you really support?
Can you name a quality worthy of praise?
Perhaps you would like to join Donald in court,
Or jail, where you’ll all spend the rest of your days.
