Is Secretary Hegseth now returning to the sauce?
He’s giving crazy speeches that he thinks should please the boss.
He’s speaking against “weirdos, beardos, wimps…” and all females.
Could this be fueled by whiskey, wine, and beer, or Belgian ales?
Does Donald like demented; does it make him comfortable
To see another Cabinet member clearly full of bull? (1)
Though Donald doesn’t drink, if that’s what sets Pete Hegseth off,
Then Donald Trump just might approve and let Pete swig and quaff.
I am not certain but I’ll ask, “Has Pete returned to drink?”
It seems appropriate to ask, so what do we all think?
We’re in a war (not going well) and if Pete is a drunk,
How can we trust his judgement if he’s in a boozy funk?
So Trump and Hegseth bombed Iran without a strategy,
Or long range plan to guarantee eventual victory.
With leadership demented or impaired by alcohol,
Our military planning looks like it is in free fall.
And Pete is giving speeches about Christianity;
Our armies are wrapped in the robes of God’s divinity.
The false gods of our enemies must bow before our might.
For, if they stand against us, we will raise God’s sword and smite.
An Office of Religious Affairs in the Pentagon,
Will make official which gods dwell in Hegseth’s pantheon.
All chaplains will report to him….to get their prayers approved?
If prayers are not official, will the Lord God be unmoved?
Is this in vino veritas, when Pete gets up on stage? (2)
(It’s not when Donald blithers from dementia and his age.)
So, knowing Hegseth’s history and his old albatross,
It’s no surprise if some folks ask if Pete’s back on the sauce.
(1) Recall Donald Trump’s Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, referring to
“AI,” artificial intelligence, as A1, as in steak sauce.
(2) In vino veritas, literally, “in wine, truth,” implies that people who are drunk
are likely to blurt out the truth of their feelings.
