Give Trump a contribution; it’s corruption at huge scale.
Now you can win a contract with a bribe, no need to bid;
And that’s exactly what the Trump pool renovator did.

Trump’s no bid job is finished now and algae have grown back.
The pool has turned from blue to green; the microbes are on track
To do what microbes always do; they like to fill a swamp,
Behavior, really commonplace, no circumstance or pomp.

Cyanobacterial growth in pools is well-known to all. (1)
Blue bottoms make pools warmer and green slime heeds nature’s call. (2)
With Donald’s blue reflecting pool, the algae felt the love
And started growing right away, Trump guiding from above.

So Donald brought a brand new swamp to Washington DC,
An algal, blue-green color, even Fox News viewers see.
For his swamp alligators, Donald hired his own supply.
To work for Donald just requires a willingness to lie.

So, lying alligators in a blue-green algal pool,
Well into Donald’s second term, there’s no one left to fool.
They’re snapping at the Democrats, and all who disagree—
To disagree with Donald is defined as treachery.

But Donald’s alligators all have eye and gum disease,
Their tissues all infected by the flow of lies and sleaze.
Because the pool’s so cloudy, it’s unclear whom they should bite.
The mess that Donald’s made provoked an internecine fight.

Trump’s cyanobacteria use photosynthesis.
The sun and air, all they’ve required, since back in Genesis. (3)
So, let’s name Trump’s new species, as we’re sure he’d like to do.
“Cyanoalgae trumpi” gives credit where credit is due. (4)
