For those “following orders,” they might sing a different tune.

He thinks his word is law, as from his rantings, we all saw.
Unlike all the offending Democrats, he never served.
So, criticism from these veterans left him unnerved.

Will Donald pardon everyone who breaks the law for him?
Recall his insurrectionists; he pardoned all of them.
Illegal orders, crimes committed, pardons, the new rules?
Oath to the Constitution? No. Trump must think we’re all fools.

Trump’s sycophants misrepresented what his critics said.
That’s normal in Trump’s orbit, from which truth and facts have fled.
What if a Democrat’s attacked? Would Donald be at fault?
Are Donald’s rants “official” when resulting in assault?

What will the Roberts Court say when Trump’s ranting causes death?
Are Donald’s rants to sycophants a form of shibboleth,
Provoking and excusing murder, though Trump stays immune?
If Trump keeps shooting off his mouth, we all may find out soon.

Death threats to Democrats have started up in one short day.
Trump didn’t urge that they should stop when asked what he would say.
We can’t conclude that all these threats may safely be ignored.
