Trump and Hegseth Talk to the Generals

No more porky generals seen in the Pentagon,
No more female admirals; Pete Hegseth wants them gone.
It’s a meritocracy, so no more DEI.
(In a meritocracy, would Hegseth qualify?)

Hegseth ranted, Donald rambled, generals just sat.
(Did they squirm when Hegseth said that they must not be fat?)
Hegseth said the War Department must be rough and tough.
Donald Trump complained applause had not been loud enough.

Hegseth said no whiskers on men’s chins or upper lips.
Donald said he didn’t like the shape of some warships.
Hegseth strutted back and forth while laying down the law.
Generals sat stoically through what they heard and saw.

Hegseth challenged foreign nations with obscenity.
Let no nation think of challenging our sovereignty.
Donald said he thinks our inner cities are war zones
Generals must quell them with full force of arms,(and drones?)

Hegseth says no more nice guys, our mission is to kill.
Posturing and ranting gave the generals a chill.
Trump said we should train our troops for urban warfare now,
Blacks in Chicago or LA might soon start a row.

Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump seemed almost farcical,
Braggadocio and rambling, at times comical.
Has Pete Hegeth started on another drinking binge?
Every day Trump sounds like he’s just swinging on one hinge.

Pete Hegseth has shown the lie of meritocracy.
Donald Trump has shown the danger of autocracy
Generals must ask themselves, “Do we have to obey
“Orders from these idiots that we heard from today?”

Optional chorus:
No more porky generals seen waddling through the halls,
No female combatants, women just don’t have the balls.
Meritocracy’s a lie, it’s loyalty that counts.
Competence is not required; true MAGAts get discounts.
