When Donald Speaks

We make a mistake when we hear Donald speak,
Assuming that Donald Trump means what he said.
Instead, he employs his “word salad” technique,
For he knows how easily we are misled.

When Donald says something, he feels free to lie.
The facts do not matter, his distortion counts.
He says anything that he thinks we will buy,
Which he feels the next day, he’s free to renounce.

Since Trump’s a narcissist, the worst ever seen,
To be President just means power for him.
He makes no attempt to keep business deals clean,
Thanks to our Supreme Court; it’s all due to them.

When Trump makes a promise, here’s how you should think.
Was that promise made just for fooling his base?
It works; Trump gets richer, their bank accounts shrink.
He’s dealt them a deuce and deals himself an ace.

Our Supreme Court gave Donald immunity
From all prosecution for official acts.
So, Trump disregards laws with impunity,
Because he does not fear the sharp headsman’s axe.

Whenever you’re hearing a Donald Trump speech,
For example, about Hormuz or Suez,
Beware, you are hearing a charlatan preach;
You’re a fool to trust anything that he says.

He loves to have power, will say anything
That he thinks, in the moment, we might believe.
Preposterous claims, all BS, a’ la king,
There’s just one thing clear: Trump’s intent to deceive.

To govern’s, a conflict of Trump’s interest,
Except when it helps increase his bank account.
Somehow, his kids know just where they should invest,
No ethical obstacle they won’t surmount.
