So, Trump is searching hard for someone else whom he can blame.
It has to be somebody else impeding his success.
So, he has fired a statistician at the BLS. (1)

Trump did not like the numbers so the messenger was shot,
Fired for the simple reason of the numbers that she brought.
Besides, she was a Democrat, which means that she conspired
To cook the books and not present the numbers Trump desired.

Trump threw a temper tantrum that we all could see and hear.
The message to the country was received both loud and clear.
If you tell Trump unpleasant truths, you’ll likely lose your job.
And then be roasted on a skewer, like a shish kebab.

The next dish on Trump’s menu is the Chairman of the Fed. (2)
His independence angers Trump, like hot coals in his head.
Jerome won’t lower interest rates as Donald Trump demands.
But, with this lousy jobs report, we’ll see where Powell stands.

The Fed had raised our interest rates throughout the Biden boom.
But now, with Donald Trump in charge, we’re facing doom and gloom.
Inflation’s not the problem now; we see recession lurk.
So, lowering our interest rates might put folks back to work.

The recent jobs report might strengthen Donald’s argument.
And everyone has noticed Donald’s thin integument.
He’s signaling that he will only tolerate “yes men.”
An autocrat pronounces; his advisers say, “Amen.”

Not competence, obeisance is what Donald Trump demands.
Requiring all of government to bow as he commands.
To rid yourself of competents, as all dictators do,
Has led to their demise as they are cooked in their own stew. (3)
