Should we seek an explanation in Donald’s mental state
To understand why he now wants to overthrow the state?
He can’t admit in 2020 Biden “whupped” him good.
We haven’t asked psychiatrists; but now, perhaps we should.

For six years we’ve heard every day that Trump is charging fraud
In casting and then counting votes, to yield results so flawed.
In spite of counts, recounts, and lawsuits that were all dismissed,
And not one shred of evidence, Trump still will not desist.

Perhaps we should look elsewhere, like psychopathology.
Is the answer to this mess found in Trump’s psychology?
We know that he’s a narcissist and can’t admit he lost.
Our nation’s founding principles have had to bear the cost.

What can we say of MAGAs staying loyal to their Don?
What does it say of voters that some still buy Donald’s con,
Discrediting Trump’s prosecutors following the facts,
And showing that they still believe Trump’s craziest attacks? (1)

Are Trumpists nuts? Is Donald nuts? What causes TDS? (2)
These ought to be the questions that psychiatrists address.
What makes the human mind believe, despite the evidence?
America is rotting and the whole world smells the stench.

First, make a diagnosis before you prescribe a cure.
Election fraud is not the answer; of that we are sure.
So, let’s look at mental illness, the workings of Trump’s mind.
That may explain to all of us why we’re in such a bind.

(1) Both the House and Senate GOP led Judiciary Committees have held
hearings whose sole aim was to discredit prosecutors who investigated
Trump’s attempts to overthrow the results of the 2020 election and lead an
insurrection against the legitimately elected government.
