Our government announced it will accept the Qatar gift
For Donald Trump’s retirement. Those who sniff, smell blatant grift
A 747 that’s been turned into a spa,
For anyone who flies with Trump, their mouths will gape in awe.

The plane must be refitted to be used as Air Force One,
(And likely won’t be ready until Donald’s term is done.)
It’s big and it’s expensive; that’s what catches Donald’s eye.
When we find out the quid pro quo, then how will Trump reply?

There are some critics who have said this is an open bribe.
And lots of others, left and right, are feeling the same vibe.
The Arab states know Donald’s weakness; now he’s on their hook.
It wasn’t hard to catch him; Trump’s life is an open book.

We know from Donald’s history that money is his god.
He’ll worship golden idols ‘til he’s underneath the sod.
A great big shiny airplane, even though it drips with sleaze,
Is not a conflict for a man with just himself to please.

Will Donald have to pay gift tax? Avoidance is his creed.
And Trump’s “pursuit of happiness” is satisfying greed. (1)
In his administration, Donald’s IRS will pass; (2)
His DOJ and DOD already kissed his ass. (3)

Is this gift constitutional? The Congress must approve.
We think that Speaker Johnson will stay in the Trumpist groove.
But Mike needs a majority approving this “no, no.” (4)
Will all Republicans agree? At this point, we don’t know.

Big money from the oil-rich states, we know makes Donald swoon.
The question is, will all their money make Trump sing their tune?
Will Qatar’s plane enhance influence? We must wait to see.
But we know they’ve made Donald think, “They’ve been so nice to me.”
