It’s government of, by, and for billionaires,
For Trump makes it clear, it’s for them that he cares.
Billionaires know a million bucks now and then,
Smooth out some obstructions to business affairs.

To give “small” donations to Trump, now and then, (1)
Smooths out regulations, ‘til he asks again.
Is it too distasteful to use the term, “bribe,”
For these understandings between “gentlemen”?

Donald Trump is immune when he takes a bribe.
But that’s just for him, not the rest of his tribe,
And not for the billionaires buying largesse.
But there’s a remedy that Trump may prescribe.

For just a small surcharge, the Donald’s largesse
Extends out to pardons to clear up a mess.
When Trump lets you know he seeks emoluments,
And promises pardons, he reduces stress.

The Constitution forbids emoluments, (2)
Emoluments lead to corrupt governments.
Powerful folks, paying big bucks to the “king,”
May buy his favors and avoid punishments.

Donald Trump has been clear; he wants to be “king,”
Being showered with gifts, (more money’s the thing.)
That fact is well-known among our billionaires.
And, at Mar-a-Lago, cash registers ring.

In government of, by, and for billionaires,
Donald Trump’s made it clear that he is for sale.
The rest of his base, who are not zillionaires,
Will find they can’t meet Donald Trump’s high payscale.
