To wreck departments all throughout the federal government.
If DOJ and HHS and others do not work,
The government will sink down into a chaotic murk.

Now Trump is firing, willy nilly, workers everywhere.
Mistakes already evident, but Donald does not care.
The firings make good theater to please the Trumpist mob,
Another prime example of a classic Trump con job.

As Elon wields his chainsaw, conflicts of interest soar. (2)
Suspicions have arisen he’s corrupted to the core.
To slash departments to the bone that ought to regulate
His own contracts might give our cynics cause to speculate.

Considerations of Musk and Trump, when they’re making cuts,
Are mostly their own bank accounts, so they can take shortcuts
Around and through the agencies that once stood in their way,
So they can rob the bank and then make a clean getaway.

It’s just a month and Trump has the whole world in an uproar,
Supporting Putin, the aggressor of the Ukraine war.
It seems like Trump just asks, “How high?” when Putin says to jump.
It makes you wonder what it is that Putin has on Trump.
