February 10, Trump’s Conflicts of Interest

Do not say that Trump has conflicts of interest.
His sole goal is to make his own fortune grow.
His politics are not right, left, or centrist.
His principles are just a higher cash flow.

Trump’s slashing funds for scientific research.
And he’s completely stopping all foreign aid.
Do all of these actions cause him to soul-search?
No. Trump’s only concern: how much he gets paid.

When you see what Trump does, his only concern
Is, “If I don’t profit, then whom can I scare?”
For he has some enemies he wants to burn.
And, if he should break the law, he doesn’t care. (1)

Trump’s aim is destruction of our government,
To make himself king, Constitution be damned.
Who cares if the Democrats or courts lament
The illegal orders that he’s rammed and jammed? (2)

For his dirty work, Donald Trump uses Musk.
If his base gets angry, then Trump can deflect
And say, “If you got skewered, Musk was the tusk.
“And he’s not conflicted, the last time I checked.”

The gonadless, invertebrate GOP,
All genuflecting to their great king of kings,
Treat Trump like the old Führer of Germany,
And run in circles, flapping just their right wings.

So, don’t accuse Donald of any conflicts;
Just power and profit are his guiding stars.
In Donald’s departments, no one contradicts.
And, when through with Musk, Trump will send him to Mars.

(1) On February 9, J.D. Vance said that Federal judges have no authority to interfere with Trump’s orders. He said this, commenting on a judge’s ruling that Trump may not freeze funds allotted by Congress. Trump added that no judge should be allowed to make such a ruling, “It’s a disgrace.”
(2) And, on February 10, Federal Judge, John McConnell, of Rhode Island just ruled that the Trump Administration had defied his order to unfreeze federal grant funds. Supreme Court, here we come.
