Donald Made a Mess

Now Donald Trump has made a mess that’s spreading worldwide.
He’s bombed Iran; Iran shoots back; it’s been a wild ride.
The Strait of Hormuz is shut tight, so oil prices rise.
Now everybody’s pissed at us; Trump screwed all our allies.

Trump did not seek advice from allies before he attacked.
He did not ask the Congress; (no surprise support has cracked.)
He’s denigrated NATO; now he needs their ships and planes.
They’ve told him, “No,” which Trump resents and blusters and complains.

Trump’s threatening our allies; they must help subdue Iran.
But Trump is unreliable; they’ve come to know the man.
Trump can’t admit mistakes, so cannot learn from those he’s made,
A huge mistake to threaten allies when he needs their aid.

Trump says he doesn’t need advice; there’s no need to consult.
It’s always other people’s fault for any bad result.
Which means, if this or that goes wrong, as under Trump, they do,
Then others have to clean his mess so Trump can muddle through.

If you think Trump’s a bully, then the facts support your thought.
No matter Donald’s actions, we’ve learned frequently they’re fraught.
Now Trump expects the world to come and help clean up his mess.
Demanding more cooperation, Trump is getting less.

The Earth has different countries, different thoughts on everything,
And different forms of government: democracy to king.
It’s totally irrational that Trump thinks he should rule.
Do we think it would help if Donald Trump went back to school?

Meanwhile, throughout the Middle East, bombs fall and people die.
And, in Ukraine, more bombs and drones are raining from the sky.
How many more must die until “the Tsar” and a “would be,” (1)
Stop servicing their egos, learning from world history?

Der Fuehrer and Il Duce would not seek or take advice. (2)
Igniting World War Two, they made all nations pay the price.
But Donald’s a poor student, and he’s emulating them,
Appearing not to understand, their fates may wait for him.

(1) Donald Trump acts like a “would be” Putin or Xi.
(2) Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini were well-known to shun advice.
