ICE officers are shooting people who protest up north.
Good people have been so incensed that they have sallied forth
To peaceably assemble to see grievances addressed,
About our citizens and migrants ICE wants to arrest.

Two killings of protesters have been broadcast in prime time
And cell phone videos show that both shootings were a crime.
ICE went to Minneapolis to grab folks who were brown.
Their targets, though, were citizens. Why did ICE stay in town?

Instead, blue Minneapolis stays occupied by ICE.
Their reason for remaining puzzling, to be concise.
The two protesters who were killed were labeled “terrorists.” (1)
ICE caused all the unrest; aren’t they the real antagonists?

It turned out Alex Pretti had a gun in his waistband. (2)
But videos all show he never held it in his hand.
ICE threw him to the ground, took it away and then they shot.
Though Noem said Alex brandished it, we all saw he did not.

So, Alex Pretti’s gun did not defend him on that day,
In spite of what the NRA is often heard to say,
For, Pretti’s gun was the excuse ICE used to shoot him dead.
Though, on 1-6, to carry guns was fine; is what Trump said. (3)

ICE stays in Minneapolis. What do they want to do?
It’s not about the immigrants; was that claim ever true?
Is this a shakedown to get Minnesota’s voter roles? (4)
Can Trump control elections keeping people from the polls?

So Donald Trump’s belligerence is now out of control.
Blue cities are invaded; we’re not sure of Donald’s goal.
Is Trump’s pathway to power paved with votes or deadly force?
But, have we seen some sycophants start filing for divorce?

(1)Kristi Noem, DHS Secretary has called both Renee Good and Alex
Pretti, “domestic terrorists.”
(2)Alex Pretti had a gun and a permit to carry it. He was in compliance
with Minnesota law (and the Second Amendment, according to the
NRA.)
(3)In Trump’s speech on 1-6, 2021, stirring up the crowd to attack the
Capitol, he told security to stop making people pass through the
magnetometer, saying that those carrying weapons were not there to
harm him.
(4)On 1-26-2026, Pam Bondi, Attorney General, sent a letter to Governor
Tim Walz of Minnesota indicating that DHS might leave Minneapolis if
the state government would turn over its voter roles to the DOJ. She
supposedly wants to check to see if Minnesota voter registration
practices are following federal guidelines.
