What differentiates this seizure from straightforward piracy?
Trump also says we’ll keep the oil, so it’s armed robbery.

Trump doesn’t like Maduro, Venezuela’s president.
He overturned the people’s vote, just like Donald’s precedent.
Is that the problem or is it the oil that Trump desires?
Potential profits, we have learned, will light up Donald’s fires.

Is Trump testing the “waters,” limits of impunity,
Believing he may act with guaranteed immunity?
So, war crimes, murder, high seas piracy are no big deal,
And Donald breaks into a smile when liberal pundits squeal.

Now Trump asserts that he’s in charge, not Congress or the courts,
A style of government we’ve seen Trump’s MAGA group supports.
Are we now watching Trump’s drive to autocracy succeed?
And, if he does, might some of our blue states try to secede?

Has Trump considered that his kingdom might just come apart?
If so, is his campaign for king a wise program to start?
