We clearly need help, but whom can we call?
It’s clearly not Trump, who just thinks of, “I.”

Is Donald the cause of all of our woes?
Or, is it we who are easily fooled?
We must admit he’s the one whom we chose.
And, how did things go the last time he ruled?

Old General Bone Spurs is president,
Commander in Chief of all of our troops,
Ordering missions without precedent;
His troops patrol streets. Are we Donald’s dupes?

The National Guard cannot tell Trump, “No.”
Patrolling our streets or picking up trash,
They’re being deployed to make a big show.
Trump scares us all with the threat of the lash.

With the economy going to hell,
Unemployment goes up; new jobs go down.
Trump’s spokesmen tell us things are going well,
But facts in the news still tarnish Trump’s crown.

So, Trump got his wish; we voted him in.
He wants to be king but can he succeed?
The facts keep punching us right on the chin.
Lies will not change them; when we’re cut, we bleed.
