With ignorance valued above expertise
And RFK blocking new vaccine release,
Diseases we once thought that we had controlled
Will pop up again and begin to increase.

And, with old diseases once more taking hold,
And more and more children who’ll never grow old,
We can’t make the claim that we haven’t been warned,
The facts were as clear as fire’s hot and ice cold.

The price that we’re paying when vaccines are scorned
Is simple; there will be more children’s deaths mourned.
In graveyards we’ll read their names carved into stone,
Though, over and over, we have been forewarned.

Are children’s deaths sins for which we must atone?
Preventable deaths, as good science has shown?
If God gave us a brain that we will not use,
We’ve committed a crime; the fault is our own.

Do we really think the Most High will excuse
Us letting our children die, when we could choose
Preventing diseases with some simple shots?
When our children die, God knows whom to accuse.

So, MMR, DPT, Polio shots,
Or ravings by our anti-vaxxer crackpots,
Does favoring faith over all expertise,
Pave your way to Heaven? God says, “I think not.”
