A new day has dawned, with a new Trump outrage,
Which occurs every time we turn a new page.
Because of Trump’s ego, we can’t be surprised,
For Trump’s narcissism cannot be excised.

Trump leads the armed forces he tried to avoid; (1)
He’s bombing Iran, without ground troops deployed.
Though we’ve asked many times, his reason’s unclear
And even some MAGAts can’t muster a cheer.

We bombed a girls’ school where there weren’t any troops.
But Trump won’t admit it, won’t even say, “Oops.”
And now, Iran’s closed off the Strait of Hormuz,
Oil prices skyrocket since Trump lit the fuse.

Was this a response that Trump could not foresee?
Another Trump venture that lacks cogency?
Did Trump think Iran would let him bomb away
And all of its generals would just say, “Oy vay?” (2)

Trump says high gas prices make money for us,
Since “we” export oil, Trump asks, “What’s the big fuss?”
But who’s making money when Donald says, “We?”
It’s oil companies; it is not you or me.

Remember that Putin’s also selling oil;
He rakes in the profits when oil markets roil.
When Trump’s dropping bombs and Iran feels the pain,
Vlad Putin sells oil and drones fall on Ukraine.

But Putin has problems, for his drone supply
Is made in Iran and Trump bombs his ally.
What does Vlad tell Donald when they’re on their phones?
“Go easy on places where they make my drones?”
