It’s not from Venezuela, but they are simpatico.
So, maybe cocaine’s just a ruse, what Trump wants is the oil.
The thought of missing out on profits makes Trump’s bloodstream boil.

Is Donald’s grand design to let Vlad Putin take Ukraine,
And Eastern Europe after that, whatever he can gain,
While Trump, invoking “Donroe’s Doctrine,” runs “his” hemisphere? (1)
Does that make Trump’s indifference to Ukraine a bit more clear?

Is Trump’s true purpose in this raid just oil piracy?
And not about the drugs at all, and not democracy? (2)
Trump pardoned a huge cocaine crook, so drugs can’t be foremost, (3)
But they’re a useful talking point; therefore, Maduro’s toast.

So now, we’ve got Maduro and the question is, “What’s next?”
Trump says we’re “running” Venezuela. Does he mean “annexed”?
To occupy a country always is a losing bet.
We can’t say what might happen though, when Donald gets upset.
