And what was this for? Was Trump a bribee?

Why did the UAE fatten Trump’s stash?
For a half billion bucks, what did they buy?
Why make this donation to Donald’s cache?

Newspapers say they bought chips for AI,
Formerly secret, now secret no more:
For a half billion bucks, Trump’s a nice guy.

In dealing with Trump, cash opens the door
And national secrets take second place.
Is government now corrupt to its core?

Trump’s wealth’s increasing at a rapid pace
Since his good will has been put up for sale.
But he’s risking shrinking his voting base.

In special elections, Trump’s voters bail.
Will Donald lose Congress in ‘twenty six?
And then, might that mean impeachment or jail?

What’s Trump doing wrong that he can fix?
It’s obvious now, he’s a narcissist
Which has taken him o’er the River Styx. (3)

We must rid ourselves of this monarchist.
We know Congress won’t; the people must vote
And Trumpist sycophants must be dismissed.

But, here’s a sad fact of which we take note;
The Ship of State’s caught in a hurricane
And we might all drown in Trump’s sinking boat.

For, if we dump Trump, then what will we gain?
Next up’s JD Vance, an autocrat, too,
A facile liar, and real anal pain.

We voted Trump in; comeuppance is due
For Trump is telling the whole world, “Screw you.”

composed in 1320. The problems in the journeys that are described
are similar. In which level of hell do we now find ourselves?
