Fall Equinox Greetings from The Chief Opossum

The Fall Equinox is upon us and we acknowledge it with the following words from the Doctor: "Lot's of people ask me if I'm an atheist. I don't think so, but it's hard to explain. I certainly don't believe in a god as envisioned in the Bible or by any of our modern theists. It does seem to me that there is a great power and underlying order in the Cosmos. This power seems to emerge from chaos and, through random processes, has evolved everything we can observe. I have seen no evidence that the power of the Cosmos pays any attention to us, but we have evolved to the point when we can begin to understand how we got here. That, to me, seems most wonderous of all, that, over the course of 13.7 billion years the Universe could develop an intelligent creature that could begin to understand how it got here. Some of the other things I understand: when I get a strep throat, I don't pray, I take penicilllin. When I am playing poker, I don't pray, I calculate."
